I'm a professional journalist - a writer and editor (at different times a subeditor, commissioning features editor, and a news editor) - with three decades of experience in the business and IT industry.

Having gained a 1st in English Literature, I trained as an NCTJ-accredited journalist and worked in Central London as a news reporter in the early days of the web, travelling across the world to cover breaking tech stories. 

I have worked with and edited for a broad range of publications including The Times, Computer Weekly, The Engineer, Accountancy Age, ZDnet, IT Week, and The Business Magazine, and I am currently a contributing Editor for CIO and ComputerWorld.
